Koheras A/S designs, develops and manufactures high-quality ultra narrow linewidth DFB (Distributed Feed-Back) fiber lasers. The company is 100% owned by NKT Holding, which is the administrative headquarters for the NKT Group with the overall responsibility for the Group companies and their management.

Target applications for Koheras fiber lasers is wind LIDAR, coherent sensing, sources for hydrophone systems, coherent communications, test and measurement systems for telecom, spectroscopy, gas sensors, displays, and several high-end and space applications. For 6 years Koheras has been supplying fiber lasers both as OEM and integrated solutions to world wide companies and research organizations. 

Koheras collaborates with Center for Communications, Optics and Materials (COM) at the Technical University of Denmark who represents a unique vertical integration of research activities in telecommunications technology, uniting materials, components, systems, and networks.
